Further Description:
If you are looking for exhilarating sailing, stunning scenery, good food and a sense of adventure then you must take this opportunity to charter a yacht in the Canaries.
During a week, you can explore our beautiful island of La Gomera, visit Tenerife (it`s not all bad!) or the unspoilt western islands of El Hierro and La Palma. Though, it is very easy to just stop rushing, slow down and enjoy some exhilarating day sailing with un-hurried evenings in a more traditional Spanish style.
Our yachts are well equipped and carry all the latest charts, guides and pilotbooks but we will be happy to advise on the best route to suit your pace.
Charters are available from Friday evening to the following Friday morning.
To comply with Spanish law you will need an International Certificate of Competence (available from the RYA) or a similar recognised qualification.

Bareboat Charter
You can charter our sail or power boats on your own (bare boat) or with a skipper. If you would like to charter bare boat but are a bit rusty or need a bit of a confidence boost, why not hire a skipper for a day or two until you are happy on your own? Our skippers have extensive local knowledge and can advise you on an itinerary that would best suit your requirements.
Skippered Charter
If you would like to charter a yacht but do not have the experience or desire to sail it yourself, charter with one of our skippers. All our skippers are RYA instructors and have extensive local knowledge. They will be able to get the most out of your holiday for you.
Please also see our Cruising page if you would like to reserve a berth rather than charter the whole yacht.

Canary Sail are an official RYA training centre and are able to offer all RYA Tidal sailing courses from Competent Crew through to Yachtmaster.
Please scroll down or use the drop down bar above to go directly to the course of interest to you.
Unlike most schools, we run our courses with a maximum of four students to the instructor thus giving each student their own sleeping accommodation and maximum time with the instructor. We also run our courses for six days as opposed to five. The course commences on a Saturday morning at 10am and finishes on the following Thursday at around 4pm. We request that students arrive the Friday before the course commences to settle into the yacht and start bright and early Saturday morning. This is also to tie in with flights from the UK on a Friday in to Tenerife South. The accommodation the preceding Friday night and last Thursday night are also included in your course cost so there are no added hotel costs.
You will be sailing in one of our Bavaria 36`s. They are both the three double cabin versions.

Our instructors have been teaching and sailing for many years and also live on the island. They know the area extremely well and will take you to the best marinas and bays around La Gomera and Tenerife. The sailing conditions are great and the sun is (nearly) always shining!
We are based on the beautiful island of La Gomera which is just off Tenerife and could not be more different. It remains incredibly spanish and does not suffer with any of the trappings of tourism. You will see beautiful scenery, experience great sailing, have wonderful food and meet some very friendly people! If you have the chance please take a look at the Gomera tourist website.
Canary Sail is a family run company whose main aim is to provide you with the best possible sailing holiday. We hope you enjoy yourselves so much that you will return.
